For APPSTIQ, the protection of your data plays a huge role. That's why we encrypt all user content distributed privately via our communication platforms using so-called end-to-end encryption. This way, we guarantee that only you and the recipient and no one else can read the private messages - not even us!
If Bob sends a private message to Alice, he encrypts this message when sending it with Alice's public key, which he receives by sending a request to the APPSTIQ server (1). The message can now only be decrypted by the person who has the private key that matches the public key - in bidirectional communication, this is logically the recipient, i.e. Alice. The private key, as the name suggests, is held by Alice alone. This ensures that only the authorised recipient can decrypt the message that reaches him from the sender via the APPSTIQ server (2) for reading (3).
After a new installation of the communication platform or the app, private messages already sent and received are no longer readable - thanks to 100 % one-way encryption.
A private message remains on our servers only as long as it could not be delivered to the recipient, but for a maximum of 30 days after sending. After that, the message is completely deleted.
